S.364/365‑‑Habeas corpus petition by father requesting High Court to order recovery of his daughter from the illegal detention of two persons‑‑One of the respondents submitted before the High Court that he did not know the whereabouts of the. detenu‑‑High Court while disposing of the petition ordered the concerned police station to register a case under S.364/365, P.P.C. on the statement of father of the detenu with direction to inform the Court about the fate of the investigation‑‑Supreme Court declined interference with the order of the High Court in circumstances.

GHULAM MUJADDID, J.‑‑Rahim Bux respondent filed habeas corpus petition in the Lahore High Court against Umar Draz and Punnun son of Noora requesting the Court to order recovery of Mst. Parveen Akhtar his daughter from the illegal detention of the aforesaid two persons. When the petitioner came up for hearing before the learned Judge of the Lahore High Court, one of the respondents submitted that he did not know the whereabouts of the detenu. The learned Judge accordingly ordered the S.H.O. P.S. Sukheki to register a case under section 364/365, P‑.P.C. on the statement of the petitioner. The S.H.O. was further ordered to inform the Court about the fate of the investigation. The petition for habeas corpus was disposed of. Umar Draz now seeks leave to appeal against the aforesaid order of the High Court. We have heard learned counsel for the petitioner. The High Court has done whatever was possible. What can we do except to dismiss this petition Dismissed. M.B.A./U‑22/S Petition dismissed.
