‑‑‑S. 304‑A‑‑Criminal Procedure Code (V of 1898), S. 439‑‑Suo Motu notice for enhancement of sentence‑‑Revision petition of accused against his conviction dismissed‑‑In view of great delay in disposal of revision petition for enhancement of sentence, High Court not found it equitable to enhance sentence of accused‑‑Revision dismissed in circumstances.‑ [Sentence]. Muhammad Amjad Butt for the State. Nemo for Respondent. This is a revision petition instituted at the instance of this Court to consider the question whether the sentence of Ghulam Shah, respondent, should not be enhanced, in case his revision petition (Criminal Revision No. 513 of 1971) is dismissed.
2. I have today dismissed the revision petition (Criminal Revision No. 513 of 1971) filed by Ghulam Shah, respondent, against his conviction and sentence.
3. In view of the great delay in the disposal of the above revision petition, I do not think it equitable to enhance the sentence of the petition, I do not think it equitable to enhance the sentence of the) respondent.
4. For the foregoing reasons, this revision petition is dismissed. H.A.K. Revision dismissed.
