‑‑‑S.497‑‑Bail, grant of‑‑Statutory ground‑‑Accused was in jail for more than two years‑‑Trial judge was on training course‑‑Bail allowed in circumstances. Ch. Liaqat Ali Sandhu for Petitioner. Abdus Samad Hashmi for the State. Date of hearing : 5th November, 1988. The petitioner was arrested on 15‑7‑1986 and has been m jail for more than two years. Bail is, therefore, sought under section 497, subsection (1) third proviso, clause (a) Cr.P.C. It is stated that the learned trial Judge is attending a course and will not resume duty till 8‑12‑1988. I, therefore, allow the petitioner to be released on bail on his furnishing bond in the sum of Rs. 20,000 (Rupees twenty thousand) with one surety in the like amount to the satisfaction of the learned Additional Sessions Judge who is attending to the work of the learned trial Court. S.A./A‑787/L Bail allowed.
