A leasehold property means the land belongs to the Military Land and Cantonments (ML&C) or Government, leased to you for 99 years. You must pay annual ground rent, and transfer requires a No Objection Certificate (NOC) and extension fees. Freehold means you own the land outright. Freehold is generally more expensive and has fewer transfer restrictions.
