‑‑‑‑Ss. 6 & 10‑‑‑Petitioner had alleged that his name had been deleted from electoral roll without any notice to him under order of Registration Officer and that no action was being taken by Authority concerned on his application against such deletion‑‑‑No reason was shown as to why application of petitioner should not have been disposed of in accordance with law‑‑ Undertaking having been given on part of Authority that application of petitioner would be decided within one week positively, Court ordered accordingly. The grievance of the petitioner is that his name has been deleted from the electoral roll without any notice to him under the order of the Registration Officer/Assistant Commissioner Kharian. It is pointed out by the learned counsel for the petitioner that an application (Annex. D) was filed by the petitioner but no action is being taken by respondent No.3. There appears to be no reason as to why this application should not have been disposed of in accordance with law. The Magistrate who has appeared on behalf of the respondents has undertaken that the application (Annex. D) shall be decided within one week positively. This petition is accordingly allowed with the direction that the application (Annex. D) pending before respondent No.3 shall be. disposed of within a period of 7 days from today. The petitioner shall appear before the Assistant Commissioner/Registration Officer on 6th of November, 1991. H.B.T./M‑1053/L Petition allowed.
