Syed Mumtaz Ali Shah Hamdani for Petitioner. Fawzi Zafar, A.A.-G. The petitioner feels aggrieved of omission of her name from electoral roll recently prepared for U.C. No.20 Kasur. Learned counsel has taken me through the copies of list of electoral roll wherein daughters of the petitioner, namely, Asia Bibi, Allah Moohfi while a daughter-in-law Safia Bibi are entered against Gharana No.234. According to the copy of N.I.C. of the petitioner she is resident of the same area i.e. Basti Vaniakanwali which is supposed to be within Mohallah Mufatpura Nizampur Road. Her husband Niamat Ali and sons Muhammad Javaid, Munir Hussain and Ghulam Hussain are also entered in the said list against Gharana Nos.233 and 234 at Serial Nos.384, 385 and 386 at the same address. Learned counsel states at bar that the name of the petitioner is not entered as voter in any electoral list for any other area. This writ petition is allowed. The respondents are directed to enter the name of the petitioner in the relevant electoral roll alongwith her husband, sons and daughters. Meanwhile, in case the petitioner files nomination papers, the same shall not be rejected on the sole ground that her name is not entered in the relevant electoral roll. Copy Dasti. H.B.T./Z-48 Petition allowed.
