Petitioners' locus standi to challenge-- Petitioners' grievance was that department might not declare them surplus in view of fresh recruitment in their cadre
Department made statement in Court that it had no intention to render petitioners as, surplus
Petitioners when faced with such situation stressed that administrative arrangements of department were not being properly conducted in as much as instead of posting one section officer in one section, two section officers had been appointed in department with a view to ultimately render petitioners and others surplus
Petitioners' grievance related to interns: working and administrative arrangements to which petitioners had no locus standi to challenge
Assurance having been given by official of the respondent that petitioners would not be declared surplus, petition had borne fruit and was disposed of accordingly.
