Recovery of loss accrued to Government
Appellant, a Food-grain Inspector, was dismissed from service after charges of misappropriation of wheat levelled against him were proved-- Amount of loss caused to Government by appellant was ordered to be made good from him
Appellant was given personal hearing wherein his main contention was that proceedings against him were conducted in his absence in utter disregard and violation of rules of natural justice
Plea of alibi taken by appellant was totally false as proceedings against him were not ex parte and he was given full opportunity to defend himself
Held, charge of misappropriation of Government wheat was fully established against appellant
Appeal against order of dismissal from service and recovery of loss thus was dismissed.
