Validity-- police employees' names having been duly entered in list B-1, same could not be removed from said list without any show-cause notice
Removal of police employee's names from list B-1 could only be ordered on imposition of major penalty
No major penalty having been imposed, removal of police employees' names from the said list was not valid.

Removal of police employees' names from list B-1 on charge of misconduct and awarding of excess marks in examination, which were detected on rechecking of papers
Respondents admitted that if excess marks awarded to said police employees were reduced due to subsequent rechecking even then police employees stood passed on their own merits
Removal of names of police employees from the list B-1 being illegal, same was set aside and their names were directed to be restored to said list.
