The sole grievance of the petitioner is that the petitioner filed an application before respondent No. 2, but he did not take any action on his application and the petitioner was constrained by the aforesaid circumstances to file present writ petition. The petitioner's counsel submits that it is the duty and obligation of the public functionaries to redress the grievance of the citizen as is envisaged by Article 4 of the Constitution with reasons within reasonable time.
2. Let a copy of writ petition be sent to respondent No.2, who is directed to decide the application of petitioner strictly in accordance with law till 12-2-2001, in case respondent No.2 has not already passes any order on the application of petitioner. The petitioner shall appear before respondent No.2 in his office on 18-1-2001 at 11-00 a.m. The respondents are restrained to take action against the petitioner till the aforesaid date. The petitioner's counsel is directed to hand over copy or writ petition to Mr. Ijaz Ahmed Chaudhry, learned A.A.-G., who shall send the same to respondent No.2 for necessary action and compliance Disposed of.
